XIAO JIANG

Xiao Jiang, a Chinese artist born in 1977 in Jinggangshan, Jiangxi Province, China, has gained recognition for his impressive oil paintings that depict landscapes, people, and interiors. Jiang is known for his creative and imaginative approach to his source imagery, which results in powerful and emotive depictions of real places that simultaneously seem detached from reality. His work has been presented in galleries and museums across China, Europe, and the United States, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai, the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf in Germany, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Jiang has received multiple awards and grants for his remarkable artwork, including the Chinese National Art Fund and the DAAD Scholarship for Fine Arts.

XIAO HANQIU

Xiao Hanqiu is a distinguished painter and poet, born in Beijing, China in 1986. Her paintings are characterized by the delicate portrayal of everyday objects, which exude an ethereal quality. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Leeds University in 2008, followed by a Master of Arts in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art and Design in 2011. Xiao has held numerous solo exhibitions, including those at Leo Gallery in Shanghai, Enclave Independent Bookstore in Shenzhen, and Tabula Rasa Gallery in Beijing. In addition, she has published several collections of poetry, including A Dream Comes True, the worst idea ever (2019), Three Minutes to Midnight Flower Thief (2018), and Four Hearts (2015).
