Sprüth Magers

Sprüth Magers is an international art gallery that showcases modern and contemporary art. It has galleries in several cities including Berlin Mitte, London’s Mayfair, Los Angeles, and New York, as well as offices in Cologne and Seoul and an outpost in Hong Kong. The gallery is closely linked to the artists it represents, many of whom have been showing with the gallery for over 30 years. Sprüth Magers emerged in Cologne during the 1980s and has since merged with another gallery and opened locations in various cities, including London, Berlin, and Los Angeles. The gallery is known for its curatorial approach, close relationships with museums and curators, and commitment to commissioning new scholarship and creating innovative artist books and catalogues. It works with over 70 artists and estates, including mid-career artists such as Sterling Ruby and Kara Walker, and up-and-coming artists like Cyprien Gaillard and Anne Imhof, as well as influential artists like Richard Artschwager and Frank Stella. Sprüth Magers has maintained close relationships with museums and curators worldwide and continues to commission new scholarship and artist books.
