Jhaveri Contemporary Gallery: Showcasing Diverse Art Practices

Jhaveri Contemporary was established in 2010 by sisters Amrita and Priya with a mission to represent artists from various generations and nationalities whose work is informed by South Asian connections and traditions. 

One of the gallery's distinguishing aspects is its dedication to original scholarship, reflected in its thoughtfully crafted exhibitions. This essential aspect of their philosophy aligns with their dedication to promoting diverse artistic practices, showcasing both renowned figures and emerging talents in engaging and thought-provoking conversations. 

Through their exploration of lesser-known art histories, Jhaveri Contemporary fosters meaningful dialogues among artists, curators, and historians, making valuable contributions to the broader art community. 

Jhaveri Contemporary represents many artists, including Ali Kazim, Gyan Panchal, Lionel Wendt, Manisha Parekh, Prem Sahib, Rana Begum, and more. The gallery also represents five estates: Anwar Jalal Shemza, Mohan Samant, Mrinalini Mukherjee, Raghubir Singh, and Zahoor Ul Akhlaq.
